what happens if someone tries to void the value/string altogether and
save the prefs that way?
Then the default value will be used. Nothing has changed there. I only
added the placeholder value to the input field. It's a HTML feature to
show some text when there's no value in a text input field. It doesn't
change LMS behaviour at all.
and there were some other questions raised in that bug, but perhaps each
issue should be given its own bug?
