Btw why not get rid of the control panels altogether ? And move the 3-4 settings that's not redundant to the web-UI ( all other settinsg are in the web UI ) it's clear cache and the startup options .And there is the diagnostic tabs for ports in the control panel ( is this Windows only ) ? Would it make less maintenance to bundle up all settings in the web UI ?
There are things you can't do from the running LMS through the web UI. Eg. wipe the cache folder. This feature does physically remove the files from your disk. Should only be required when the files are corrupted. But you can't do this while LMS is running.
A "clear cache" feature otoh could drop the helper database tables in a sane file. Sounds like a reasonable idea for a little plugin.
