Need to note that I patched Alarm.pm in both 8.2.0 and 8.0.0 to report the source of the _alarmEnd signal. Using the scheme I reported earlier the logs show it is the Material client that shuts down the alarm. Thus
Please note that I believe that message is a red hering: yesterday I've seen cases where there was that "wrong" source, but the alarm fired as expected.
