Reasoning: Toledo had a really solid season and is one of the better teams for sure in the MAC thanks to a star receiver in Eric Page but when push comes to shove I’ll take whatever I can get with Air Force here at RFK Stadium. The Rockets can’t really defend a lick and even if they’re run defense has actually been alright this season they are facing a Falcon team that puts up a ton of points against far better teams. Plus Air Force quarterback Tim Jefferson actually can throw the ball when necessary so we’re not looking at a Force squad that is not capable of an air game. The senior went for 221 yards and matched a career high with three touchdown passes in that 45-21 victory over Colorado State in the regular-season finale last month. Time to prepare I guess will help Toledo as we have seen throughout the years with Georgia Tech and a few other triple option type teams but if you are a terrible defensive team you can’t all of a sudden pull a 180 because of a few extra weeks. They may be prepared and alright but it will still be bad in the end as they are, well, bad. Toledo has weapons with Page, Terrance Owens and Adonis Thomas and should be able to score some points in what I expect to be a semi shoot-out but in the end my money’s on what is the more experienced team that has been in this spot a whole heck of a lot more of late.
