hi,
i've used both blender and sketchup for architectural modeling a lot,
and i definitely find sketchup caters for this craft a lot better.
maybe you could get some ideas from the way that sketchup functions,
and what some of it's advantages are in architectural modeling and see
if it would be possible to do something similar in blender (even if it
is something like creating a ui layout geared towards this kind of
work). if you are interested, i don't mind taking the time to compile
some kind of list on this subject.
