Just my two cents, 2.4's method also didn't always work in my
experience, even when starting to type in a clean file when I wanted
to show off the feature to somebody else.

I'd dig on the method suggested by Campbell, and yes AutoCompletion is
a very nice feature to have back in the text editor, +1 !
