AFAIK, Qt is used only for the image viewer (iv), NOT required for building libOpenImageIO. You should be able to avoid build failure by removing libqt4-dev and txt2man packages:
sudo apt-get remove libqt4-dev txt2man If you want to use iv, you should install libqt4-opengl-dev manually.
