Does anyone recall if Motion Blur (in 2D Filters) ever worked in Mac?

I heard Apple may have dropped support for accumulative buffer in OpenGL,
which may explain why Motion Blur isn't working now. Or maybe it never did
(I'm recent to Mac world).
Or perhaps is a bug in our cocoa ghost wrapper?

I just want to gather some information before digging it deeper. The report
