Hi there, FIrst of all, congratulations and a thank you for everyone who worked in the git/phabricator/arc migration. Kudos big time here :)
Now, I'm patiently waiting for an official github.com/gitorious repository from Blender Foundation. Meanwhile I pushed my own copy of git. blender.orgto my github account. For me everything works fine. I can update the submodules content, fetch/pull/push master smoothly. The problem I'm facing, is when someone tries to checkout the repository with the submodules: * mkdir multiview * cd multiview * git clone https://github.com/dfelinto/blender.git --single-branch -b multiview blender * git submodule update --init --recursive --remote (boom) Submodule 'release/datafiles/locale' (https://github.com/dfelinto/ blender-translations.git) registered for path 'release/datafiles/locale' (...) (full log http://www.pasteall.org/47514) So, it seems that the repository expects me to clone ALL blender external submodules. Any suggestions? Am I doing anything wrong? Any official instructions on that? . . .
