I was wondering if at some point we could/should use the builds
straight from build bot for the test builds (and in the future for the
final releases).
Or is there any difference in the official builds and the current
builds from build bot?

Nothing against the release ritual of having the maintainers gathering
the builds, uploading them, ...
But that would be a way to make sure buildbot builds are 1:1 with the
official releases.

Cheers,
Dalai
