Also a special thanks to all the other students who submitted proposals. In the end it's always a difficult decision. We just picked what we all agreed on was "a convincing proposal that makes us really enthusiastic" and "with sufficient mentors available". The proposals that were OK-ish but had pluses and minuses didn't make it for that reason. We unfortunately have a lack of mentors here, which makes it even more evident to not accept proposals from students that would need a lot of guidance and mentoring. Of course everyone is very welcome to join the blender.org as a volunteer. Check "get involved" on blender.org.
