I just got back from the local B&N a few minutes ago, and managed to
score a copy of "Rumis" and one of "Dread Pirate", both for 50% off.
The stickers on the games said 30%, but the extra came off at the
register.

Dread Pirate looks like it might be fun, and it has a bunch of fiddly
bits -- 100 "jewels", 50 "doubloons", four cast metal ships, a fabric
map, deck of cards, carved wooden dice, etc. -- so that means it's
really cool, right?

(There were two copies of Dread Pirate; one said it had 45 doubloons
and the other said it had 50. Wanting to be sure I got my money's
worth, I opted for the one with 50.)

Also, they had a stack of a half-dozen of the retro Risk -- the
reprint of the 1959 original with the wooden cubes. I still have my
1968 version -- also with the cubes -- so I passed on that, but I was
sorely tempted. It would sure be nice to have a new box without all
the tape on the corners to hold it together......
