Group, Regarding the policy writeup. I have written few things, on that regards I will try to contact someone at BM who can discuss the day to day activities of BM so that we can try to formulate some standards of operation however I think people at BM in India are already set with some agenda. Because looking at our website it is impressive and I think things are planned in a way they can be done best. Yogi I can help in anyway I can if you feel there are areas of improvement. Adarshvardhan, Policies and planning can be done to help us operate effectively. Our members of BM group are working in field and they are not waiting for me or anybody else to write policies and act upon it anyways. Anything we plan now will enormously help us in future and thats what the most strict but the best teacher has taught us. Experience. Although I still believe planning and setting up strategy is necessary, at this point I had following few things on top of my mind which obviously will be at some point making their way in to our agenda. Mayank I will post it where you asked us to. Again I can write more (as this was very short) if need be and when I understand more properly present groundwork by BM. From: mail.ryogi <[email protected]> Subject: [bm] Call to form action groups To: [email protected] Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2009, 10:11 PM Dear Mayank It seems there is enough momentum in group now, but missing the direction for action. I am proposing to form action teams to start acting in various spaces. Before that we need to know current structure of the team. There is no info on Who's who. Who is involved in IT team, who is moderating the forum, website etc. The current website does not look enough to build group activities. I shall explain you what it means in my later email. The pace of forum moderation is extremely slow. I would like to know the reason for it. Rahul, Would you be part of this process? All members Kindly let me know who want to be active/passive participant in this process. The steps I suggest are as follows - 1. Identifying the various segments of society based on Age, Urban/Rural, Languages, States 2. Forming a framework for Action groups. 3. Deciding priorities 4. Finalising first draft of group framework and list of first batch of groups. Regards Yogi
