Audio Conference for Social Cause - By Sangram (BM Kanpur group)

An audio conference was held on 16 May,Saturday between Yogesh Raut, Sangram 
Bharat, Sheel Thakur and Jitendra. Yogesh and Jitendra are  member of Bharat 
Uday Mission (BM), Sangram is a social and political activist, working with 
Bharat Punar-nirman Dal (BPD). Sheel runs an NGO, REaD which is active in the 
field of promoting education whereas Jitendra from Bangalore intends to do 
gather momentum in Banglore.

All of these people are presently working or wish to work for the betterment of 
the society and of India. So the conference was mainly focused on the ways in 
which they can work together to in the pace of the change they intend to bring 
in the society and how the resources can be gathered for that.

Yogesh, who arranged this conference suggested that the works done by various 
social or potical organizations like REaD, BPD etc need to be published online 
as well as on paper so as to make people aware and increase their motivational 
level. This way the people can come forward to cooperate such organizations.

Sheel put forthe the idea of joining the NRIs for this noble cause. He proposed 
to coduct some educational and cultural tours for the children of NRIs at 
competant rates so that that there is cultural interaction between the native 
Indian and the Indians living abroad. It will also be useful in generating 
funds which can be used in other social activities.

Sangram from kanpur, who intends to bring political revolution in India, gave 
the idea that Right to Information (RTI) Act, the most important tool Indian 
public has achieved after Independence, need to be spread well in different 
parts of the country, especially in the rural areas. BPD, REaD and other like 
minded organizations need to come forward and work together to make this RTI 
ACT, a weapon of general public. Jitendra, who joined the conference for the 
first time, said that he is in search of some people who can work with him for 
social cause in Bangalore. Sheel gave him some contacts in Bangalore.

The conference was held for about one and half hour and concluded after 
deciding the schedule of next conference. Next conference will be held on 
23May, Saturday at 8.30pm IST. Those interested may join the conference on
