Greetings Akalpita ji, Sheel ji, Jitendra ji and all other respected members,

I was out of India for some office work so couldn't respond to your mails on
time.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience. 2 days back only i have returned to
India.

I still have some very important work and probably will not be in India during
the duration from September 2009 to April 2010.

Therefore,i may not be available for full ground level active support
during REaD Educational Tour. But in mean time,i will try to figure out
some schools for this purpose.

I am also worried about the next BM meeting which is scheduled to be
held in Bangalore during December ' 09 We will have to figure out some
members who can take the responsibility of this acitivity if i am not
available. I think Jitendra is there, but we will still need some more
members for this purpose.
I am looking forward for a successful BM Meeting at Bangalore.

Thanks and Regards,

Akhil Srivastava

Hi Akhil & Jitendra, Greetings!

We Haven't communicated for some time.

REaD is arranging an 18 day Educational/ Service Tour of about 30
College Students from Columbia University, NY. They will visit Mumbai
(Dec 28-30) Bangalore (Dec 31- Jan 9) & Delhi ( Jan 10-12).  The
group wants to spend one week in Bangalore devoting their full-time
& efforts in supporting 'education' in a low income school in
Bangalore. The group will continue supporting the projects after
returning to US by raising funds and follow-up visits. We need volunteers to
coordinate their efforts in
completing some meaningful work, which will have long lasting impact.

The first task is to select a School.
Obtain
names of interested, progressive & needy schools -- their
Principals/Administ rators, who can
communicate by email, IM & conf calls on Skype and facilitate
selection. The next step will be to define the projects which
can be completed or at least initiated within one week.

Jitendra/Akhil, can you help? We invite
anyone interested to respond asap.

Akhil, you were planning to have a BM meeting
in Bangalore. May be you can have it during Jan 1-9 to coincide with
their tour. I'm planning to be in Bangalore during December-Jan, and
can help. Let me know your plans.

Thanks ........... Sheel
