Friends,
Sri Amit Jethava, who was the State Coordinator of the National RTI Forum at
Gujarat
and President of Gir Nature Youth Club, Khambha, District Amreli
was brutally murdered yesterday night (20/07/2010) just in front of the Gujarat
High Court. He was associated with Forum and was really active with us, along
with his other causes as an environmentalist and wild life preserver. The
National RTI Forum feels really aggrieved by this murder of one its associates.
We have talked to the police officers in Gujarat and have requested them to
take action against the culprits whoever they are. At the same time, the Forum
shall keep a very close eye at the investigations of this case in which the
person has been murdered solely for his dynamic and selfless acts as a social
activist.
We are also going to have a small condolence meet in remembrance of the
departed soul at our office at 5/426, Viram Khand, Gomti, Lucknow tomorrow
(22/07/2010) at 1 PM where we shall also decide on the further course of action
to be taken in this matter.
