Friends, We, the Right to Information activists need a day of our own which might be called the "RTI Day" dedicated exclusively to Right to Information. The National RTI forum suggests it to be on 13th October. This date is being suggested because the RTI Act, which was passed by Parliament on 15 June 2005 came fully into force in the mid-night of 12th and 13th October 2005.Hence this was the first day in 2005 when RTI Act was actually in complete functioning. So, we need to have a "RTI Day' whether 13th October or any other date suitably prescribed and chosen by the RTI activists among ourselves.
