Thanks Adam and Christiaan. I have deleted the failed download file and now
everything works fine.
Christiaan, previously when the old version was invoked, there's no any disk
image shows up, either in Finder's window or on the desktop. The Safari-like
icon also didn't change at all. That's why I never suspected an old version
was invoked and had suffered from it in the past few months ...
I am glad now the combinations work great again. :-)
