Cool!  I've no idea what version I started using, but it was a couple  
months before Mike moved it to Sourceforge (in 2002, I think).  Nice

Right, 3000 is no problem.  As another data point, we have a user with  
a 24,000+ item file.  For BD to be usable with that file, I had to  
make some changes to searching (which should now be debugged, 6 months  
later...oops).  The only unresolved problem for him is that  
performance is poor with more than  a couple of smart groups, but most  
people are a long way from that file size.
