Sorry to respond here instead of sourceforge, but sourceforge appears
to have a bug that makes it impossible to comment on something
(perhaps when it's closed?). Arrgh!

The autofile bug I reported (removing slashes from keywords) is a bug,
not a bugfix. Back in 2005 there was a thread on leaving them in to
create a directory structure:

https://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=0cf33b8854b826e0c7be92b50c2bd625%40weizmann.ac.il&forum_name=bibdesk-users

See the thread for May 31, 2005 if that link doesn't work. In any
case, since 2005 autofile has interpreted slashes in keywords to be
interpreted as creating a directory structure. The nightly breaks this
(and my workflow since 2005)...

This is not correct. That thread is actually about the reverse problem: that slashes are generating a directory structure when you may not want that. So in fact this thread led us to /replace/ slashes rather than leave them in (unless you explicitly include an option to keep them).

Whether slashes are removed or not, is a different thing. This has to do with your cleaning options. When you choose "Windows" or "ASCII" the slash is removed, not because it generates a directory structure, but because it's an invalid path character on Windows. So the solution is to choose at most "TeX" for the cleaning option.

This has always been the behavior for the Local-Url field. Only in the last couple of releases this was broken, because we did not properly apply the various cleaning procedures for linked files (and linked URLs). That has been fixed in the nightly builds.

But anyway, because the slashes are generally replaced already, with even more control, it may now make more sense not to remove the slash even with the strict cleaning options, so that's what I just did for the next nightly.

Actually, these are not (serious) bugs, but rather bug fixes ;-) At
most, the sample script seems not to have followed those fixes.

Just downloaded it. There's some pretty serious applescript and
autofile bugs I reported on sourceforge. Happy to retest once they're
fixed, but you might want to hold off a few days for those as well.

OK, I will hold off, and wait for word that the French localization

I'm not sure if that will be possible, as the French localization

Hi everyone,

Start testing nightlies, because it's almost time for a new
release.
Christiaan, are there any show-stopping bugs or work-in- progress
that
I should hold off for?

Adam

Nothing in the works, I'll update the release notes
