Hi, I download a lot of archived newspaper articles in pdf form. These typically have little meta data except for download time, source, but none about the actual document. I tend to immediately rename these files with
date(yyyymmdd) Newspapername articlename pagenumber.pdf I am hoping to find an AppleScript I could modify to automatically fill in these fields. I also hope to use hazel to start the process automatically. Then I will probably try to export the entry and import it into Zotero, which is my current citation manager software. I could be convinced to switch to bib desk but I already have a massive library, and also use Zothero extensively with Alfred for ease of finding documents. Can anyone put me on the right path to what will probably be a long period of experimentation to try to get this workflow happening. My AppleScript knowledge is minimal, but I have some knowledge of other automation software for Mac such as Keyboard Maestro and Hazel. Thanks, Damian
