Perhaps try the commands in the following form. 

To see your setting:

defaults read edu.ucsd.cs.mmccrack.bibdesk BDSKGroupTableFontName

and to reset it:

defaults delete edu.ucsd.cs.mmccrack.bibdesk BDSKGroupTableFontName
