I did find one or two "imaginary roads" (they're put there by map
makers so that copyright violators can be proven to be copying their
maps), but they don't usually show up on routing. In practice, if
you're using dynamic routing as described in my articles (along with
the Piaw Routing settings), you won't see them at all. The only way to
get fooled  by them is to use the Garmin Mapsource software and
manually input the route, in which case it wasn't a case of the
routing software being at fault --- it wasn't fooled, you were. :-)
