I think it would be useful with the Shimano hub, but not with the
Rohloff. The exception would be for a recumbent, where the range of
the Rohloff may not be sufficient.

This Truvativ crank looks just like the Schlumph. So while I don't
know for sure, I suspect it's a relabeled Schlumph.
