I have been using Mavic Open Pro wheels on my commuter for years
without issues. When I started carrying loads (rear panniers only) I
had a Velocity Synergy 36 spoke built to use in the rear, but still
use Open Pro up front. This is my first year with winter tires-
Nokkian W106 35mm, which measure about 32 or 33mm wide. I have put
about 150 miles on them with no issues. Is there anything wrong with
using that wide a tire on these rims? Cyclocross riders seem to use 35
or 38 mm tires with narrow road rims without too much trouble.
Apologies if this has been hashed over. Did a quick search...
