Posting Rules For BiFem The purpose of BiFem is to provide bisexual, bicurious, and lesbian women and their friends and supporters a safe and secure place. Both fun and serious discussions are welcome. Since the list is in part a support group for women it is expected that all subscribers will conduct themselves in a manner that is supportive and understanding of others on the list. People of all social, economic, age, and racial groups are a part of this group and subscribers are encouraged to consider, understand, and appreciate the the differences in lifestyles, beliefs, education, and values that others may have. Subscribers will not be allowed to post messages that attack others on the list because of differences of opinion. Arguments and fighting will not be allowed on the list and must be handled privately. Open discussion of any and all types of issues is welcome provided however that it is done in an intelligent manner and without fighting and making of rude and objectionable comments. While BiFem.Net considers comments by users regarding the delivery of the services it provides to the women's community any such comments and suggestions regarding our lists, chat, web sites, or other facilities should be addressed privately to the staff of BiFem.Net and not posted on this list or other lists owned by BiFem.Net. In order to make certain that the BiFem list remains a safe, secure, and friendly place for all we have developed specific rules for posting messages. 1. All messages must comply with the Terms Of Service of BiFem.Net at http://bifem.net and Yahoo Groups http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/ 2. It is specifically noted that the Terms Of Services does not allow unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable messages. Messages that are sarcastic, inflammatory, condescending, and rude are specifically not allowed regardless of whether intentional or unintentional. Complaints, claims, and comments of violations and abuses by other subscribers are not allowed to be posted to the list. 3. No advertising and promotion of other lists or groups whether on Yahoo or on other sites will be allowed without the written permission of the owner or moderator of the list. 4. Trolling of list members through private emails for sexual solicitations, commercial purposes, or any other unsolicited and unwanted purposes is not allowed.
4. Yahoo has in place a specific policy for copyright issues including claims of copyright violations which can be found at http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/ 5. The BiFem list has historically been a high volume list. Due to the number of subscribers it is requested that each individual subscriber attempt to keep the number of posts sent by them to no more than 3 messages per day and to make certain that all posts are relavent and of interest to the entire list. Messages that are one one word or one line only in response to the messages of others should be kept to a minimum. Due to the size of the list the maximum number of messages per day is subject to change with or without notice. 6. In order to be fair to all of the susbcribers of BiFem we have put in place specific penalties for violation of any of the posting rules set forth herein or for violation of any part of the Terms Of Service. Any penalties expressed herein under the Posting Rules are in addition to other remedies available to BiFem.Net under the Terms Of Service. a. Moderators may at any time with or without notice place a subscriber on moderated status and review, edit, or reject their posts prior to distribution of them to the entire list if there is reason to believe that their posts are intentionally or unintentionally disruptive or not condusive to the purposes of a women's oriented list. New subscribers not known to the moderators may also from time to time be placed on moderated status to prevent spam and other disruptions of the list. b. For minor violations of posting rules or Terms Of Service, violators will at the discretion of an owner or moderator have their posting privileges suspended for a period of time from one (1) week to (1) month depending on the severity, nature, and circumstances, of the offense. c. For serious violations of posting rules or Terms Of Service, violators will at the discretion of an owner or moderator be permanently banned from posting and/or susbcribing to the list and/or from using any of the other facilities of BiFem.Net along with any other remedies as set forth in the Terms Of Service of BiFem.Net and eGroups/Yahoo. d. All decisions of an owner or moderator will be final and action to enforce any part of the posting rules or Terms Of Service may be with or without notice.
