I really would like to have as little of backports as possible. I don't think
we ever plan to release from that branch ever again, unless there's a really
compelling reason (like security breach or something of that magnitude). The
issue here is not so much time, as being able to focus our user community on a
single release (which we still can). If you think there's more to it -- lets
discuss it on the list.
