Here is how I build it for a simple kvm VM (--debug and -f are not really
necessary):

sudo boxgrinder-build --debug -f bigtop_hadoop.appl
{noformat}
Note also It is not worthwhile to add new targets to the Apache Bigtop Makefile
because boxgrinder offer many ways and options to build appliances
