the upcoming Bigtop 0.3.0 is going to include Flume-NG (AKA the first Apache
release of Flume). That change is currently in Bigtop's trunk and the nightly
packaging builds are available from here:
http://bigtop01.cloudera.org:8080/view/Bigtop-trunk/job/Bigtop-trunk-Repository/
Please let me know if you still see this problem with Flume-NG
