Agreed. I was expecting more stones to be thrown at me :)
I can open a ticket upstream as long as we agree it does not have to be
investigated by end of this week for the preparation Apache Bigtop release :)
But actually this is no less nasty than what we already have. I would rather
open another ticket for us to entirely get rid of the LDFLAGS override. Even
more so when the -lcrypto is already fixed but not yet backported into Hadoop
1.0.X afaik.
We need to figure out what happens for each of these, see if they are alreafy
fixed and get them backported/contribute a patch if needed.
