there is a source of existing mahout test code under MAHOUT_HOME/examples/bin
which under bigtop has been moved into /usr/share/doc/mahout/examples/bin.
These scripts may be able to be integrated into the smokes test directory with
a call.
Not sure if the /usr/share/doc directory is the correct directory for this.
