This Friday the Ride Evil community will celebrate the re-opening of the bike lanes on the 700 block of University Avenue. Beginning at 8:08 on August 8th, 2008 there will be a Keirin style race on the block, looping from flow to counter-flow lane. Wheel pit and PowerAde/Little Debbie snack station at Walgreens (Now Open!) Race lasts 8 minutes. No brakes or freewheel bikes allowed! Helmet optional. Race fee is a 6 pac of PBR. PS- this is a joke.
