In preparation for speaking at the next BOE meeting, I would highly recommend watching the September 9th meeting on the madison city channel: http://www.ci.madison.wi.us/mcc12/boe.html
At the 9/9/2008 meeting, the BOE reviews the budget and you get a lot of background on all the projects in the budget - From Engineering to streets, and others. Engineering projects are reviewed fairly early in the video. I would also note that the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (traffic calming) budget is being cut from $200,000 to $50,000 in the proposed budget. The stated reason is that NMTP projects are starting to not meet the original criteria and the city "needs some breathing room" to reevaluate those criteria. I believe there is enough breathing room to re-evaluate those criteria if the item was put on the October PBMVC Agenda - and that point is worth stating to the BOE. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Robbie Webber Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2008 5:45 PM To: BikiesSubmissions Subject: [Bikies] Cty Hwy M projects at city Board of Estimates Monday Just the facts: Board of Estimates meeting Room 260 of the Municipal Building around 6 PM [snip] So... here's an opportunity to come, speak, and make your voice heard. _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list Bikies@danenet.org http://www.danenet.org/mailman/listinfo/bikies
