Please consider writing a letter in support of bike lanes. Some talking points to include: -Old Sauk Road is a designated Urban Escape Route, indicating that the route already contains a large amount of bike traffic -Bike lanes improve traffic flow for motorists -Paved shoulders increase safety for motorists -Paved shoulders have a lower total maintenance cost than non-paved shoulders -Wisconsin was recently ranked the second most bicycle friendly state in the country. Adding bike lanes to Old Sauk Road is a step toward getting the state ranked #1 Contact Information: Middleton Times Tribune Phone: 608-836-1601 7507 Hubbard Ave. Suite 100 P.O.
