Twenty years ago I built my own version of training rollers. I used three wringer washer rollers I set into a dovetailed maple frame, connecting the rear and front roller with a strip of truck inner tube. Even with reasonable bearings, the softer rollers and remaining friction can make this setup so you are nearly always about ready to "take a flying trip out the window." Use of it is an experience and definitely raises the heart rate to something well above recommended. If anyone wishes to duplicate my machine, let me know?
