Hiyall,
I was unable to attend this meeting, but I understand that the
proposed facility is for recycling, not landfill. The town posts
meeting minutes quarterly. Did anyone go or find out what happened
with regard to the zoning change?
Also, the prospect of the former range site becoming a landfill, the
thought of which made my heart leap into my throat when I first read
Kevin's message, is non-existent. That site is slated to become a
county forest.

Hello All.
The Town of Verona will be considering a rezoning tomorrow evening
(Thursday, 2/25 @ 7:30pm) for a solid waste facility (landfill) at the
corner of Sunset Drive and Range Trail:

This is on the corner of a popular cycling route (the Paoli loop from
Madison) and concerns have been raised about increased heavy truck
volume on
what are relatively narrow roads. Unfortunately, that is all the
information
that I have on the project at this time. If you are interested in the
project or concerned about increased traffic on this popular route, I
encourage you to attend the meeting and speak out.
