The Rideshare program manager, Walt Paxton, is out of the office this week but I can certainly talk with him about the status of this effort, which appears to be somewhat dormant. There may be a good opportunity to partner with another area organization(s) to get more people engaged.

I've never heard of it, and I'm going to guess that a lot of others haven't either. I think the point is to get something like this onto a big PR push. Maybe it could be started during Ride The Drive and then added to via local media. I'm going to check in with the Bike Fed and the city. I think that a program like this has a lot of potential to get folks who don't bike much to feel more confident on their bikes. It can be for would-be commuters and also for folks who just want to do errands or ride around their neighborhoods and town for fun or exercise too. -india On 02/04/11, "Bennett, Kristin" wrote: > > v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} > > o\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} > > w\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} > > .shape {behavior:url(#default#VML);} > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Something like that here in Madison already…. > > > > http://www.rideshareetc.org/rp/faq.asp#10 > > > > If I commute by bike, can I be matched to other bikers? > Yes, you can.
