WHAT: A 100 mile single day, loop ride from the Stevens Point
Brewery, Stevens Point, WI to the Red Eye Brewing Company, Wausau, WI to
the Central Waters Brewing Company, Amherst, WI and back to the Stevens
Point Brewery.
WHO: Cyclists that can handle 100 miles in one day. Riders
must be able to fix their own flats and basic bike problems, as well as
finish the entire ride in approximately 10 hours.
WHERE: The ride will leave and end at the Stevens Point Brewery,
2617 Water Street, Stevens Point, WI.
WHEN: Check-in will start at 6:30 a.m. and the group will depart
at 7:00 a.m. Depending on the total number of riders, the group may be
divided into peletons based on riding ability.
WHY: To enjoy not only the exceptional biking and scenery of
central Wisconsin, but to also enjoy some of central Wisconsins finest
beers.
REST/REFRESHMENT STOPS:
There are four (4) planned rest/refreshment stops
along the route that will include food and drinks, including the Red Eye
Brewing Company and the Central Waters Brewery. Each rest stop will be
approximately 20 miles apart on the route. Upon arriving back in Stevens
Point, participants will enjoy food and a variety of beverages provide by
the all of the ride sponsors at the Stevens Point Brewery.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT:
There will be one support vehicle/sag wagon on the
course with an experienced bicycle mechanic. However, they may not be able
to get to you immediately. You should be able to handle your own basic
repairs.
