Update:
At about 10:00 am today I came across a small crew prepping the pavement for patching across from the gravel parking area on Moorland road. I cut over to Moorland road, and the helpful crew let me know that the trail between there and nob hill was clear. The Trail from Moorland to Glacier Valley Road was also open at that time. Beginning today, Dane County will begin annual maintenance on the Verona Road to Knob Hill segment of the Capital City State Trail. Work may take up to several days to complete.
