Does anyone know?
The city is doing some construction/maintenance and appears to be widening the
SW bike path. I think it may be in response to the public input sessions on
lighting that led the city to a better understanding of the user conflicts
occuring on this narrower section of path. Several engineering experts have
registered their concerns with the city that it would be better to study, plan
and address a range of issues - coming up with appropriate solutions (at least
one of which may include lighting). Looks like they might be addressing the
user conflict issue with a dedicated pedestrian lane - I hope.
