But it's not like I didn't warn him months ago by relaying my friend's (who works for a WTBA member company) view that the WTBA would sooner or later throw the BFW under the bus. I don't hate the BFW - I hate seeing the BFW fail to effectively represent my interests as a Wisconsin bicyclist. It is a real shame that some on our BFW board choose to view me as a radical that hates the Bike Fed instead of accepting the reality of the WTBA betraying the BFW. And by the way, I have been working behind the scenes to try to help the businesses on the soon-to-be bike-lane-lined N. Sherman take advantage of improved bicycling accessibility from neighborhoods like mine. In fact, I CC'd a copy of one of my proposals to info@bfw for some early summer near-sherman neighborhood rides to help educate people in nearby neighborhoods of how easy it will be to make trips to the N. Sherman businesses. Some of the business owners are still angry about the change, and have slammed the door in my face, but I am still working to find others who are more open to benefitting from their new infrastructure.
