The "as well" refers to the impending work on Highland Ave, which will
reduce the road to one lane in each direction under Campus Dr, starting
Monday.
Expect back-ups and short tempers all summer. Bicyclists should have an
easier time getting through, but watch out for all the usual roadwork
perils - including the confused and/or impatient drivers with whom you will
have to mix it up more than usual.
The below information will especially be of interest to those going to/from
the UW Hospital, VA, Waisman Center, etc. and those that bike farther west
after the Campus Dr Path ends at University Bay Dr.
*Marshall Court - Village of Shorewood Hills*
*When:* May 7-July 20, 2013
*Where:* From the corner of University Bay Drive and Marshall Court, to
2716 Marshall Court (Ronald McDonald House)
Construction will impact the following traffic areas:
*University **Bay Drive*
- During the week: Two traffic lanes (in each direction) will be open
- On weekends in Mid-May: One lane traffic on weekends with flag persons
- Pedestrian sidewalk access: East side of University Bay Drive
preferred
*Marshall Court*
- Two traffic lanes in each direction
- Flagged one way in some circumstances
- Access maintained to parking garage of 800 University Bay Drive
- *Street parking will not be allowed *
