I think there've been two of these spam emails on the bikies listserv in
the last couple of days. I receive a couple of these a week--always from
yahoo accounts, which are especially susceptible to this type of hijacking.

If you leave your yahoo email account open in a browser and go away from
your computer or work out of different software programs, tabs or browsers,
spammers are able to come in from the backend and send out this type of
spam from your account without your knowledge because yahoo doesn't make
their email program secure. The spammers do not gain access to your
password.

To prevent this, always log out of your yahoo account when you aren't using
it, or better yet, change to a more secure email program, such as gmail or
probably anything but yahoo. If you need a yahoo account to use yahoo
groups, don't use it for anything else--more specifically, don't have any
contacts in your yahoo address book so no one gets spammed through it.
