The story of the stealth bike lane installation in Seattle (a large suburb
of Tukwila in the Pacific Northwest) back in April was widely reported, as
much for the civility of the public exchange between the Seattle Department
of Transportation and the perpetrators as for the initiative showed and
personal expense borne- SDOT let the anonymous installers know where they
could collect the materials they had installed after SDOT apologetically
removed them. Now SDOT has gone a step further and installed their own,
improved version, plus extended the bike lane:
