The current project is a small stand alone project, not a total redesign and 
reconstruction of this intersection.  We will have to wait for a total 
reconstruction to do more.  This is what we could do in the mean time to 
improve conditions for this crossing. - - Arthur

For some reason I thought the redesign was going to include a single 
bicycle/ped crossing from North Shore/Nolen to Cap City path. This doesn't look 
to be the case based on the plans here. Anyone know if it's the case or not? My 
understanding is that all outbound North Shore traffic will be synched after 
the construction, but are we still going to be expected to pass through the 
(enlarged) island?
