Road Construction Updates Project: Beltline/Verona Road Start Date: 6/25/2013 End Date: 5/30/2014 *STATUS UPDATE* Contractor will be setting trusses for the Cannonball Path pedestrian overpass on the night of 8/28/13. This date could fluctuate by a day depending on weather and delivery schedule. I will keep all of you updated if this date changes from 8/28/13. This project is located between Fish Hatchery Road and Todd Drive, over the beltline. Setting the trusses will require a full beltline closure in both the eastbound and westbound directions from 10:00 pm 8/28/13 to 5:00 am 8/29/13. A signed detour route will be provided as follows (also see attachments for detour): Westbound: Traffic will exit off of USH 12 WB onto Fish Hatchery Road, south on Fish Hatchery Road (CTH D), west on McKee Road (CTH PD), north on Verona Road (USH 18/151), west back on to USH 12 WB.Eastbound: Traffic will exit off of USH 12 EB onto Verona Road, south on Verona Road (USH 18/151), east on McKee Road (CTH PD), north on Fish
Hatchery Road (CTH D), east back on to USH 12 EB.PCMS boards will be placed 10 days in advance of 8/28/13 to warn traffic of the upcoming closure.
Both north and south frontage roads are to remain open for setting the
main spans over the beltline and therefore will not be closed the night
of 8/28/13. The north and south frontage roads will be closed at a
later date to set the smaller truss spans. I will send a follow up
email when more specific details are known about closing the frontage roads.
*Seminole Highway interchange and bridge*
* CLOSURE (August 14 - November 2013)
o Seminole Highway bridge closed to all traffic, including
pedestrians and bicyclists.
o Motorists are required to use alternate routes.
o Pedestrians and bicyclists should use the pedestrian overpass
near Whenona Drive to cross the Beltline.
o Ramps at the interchange will remain open to provide access to
area businesses and neighborhoods.
* Eastbound on ramp to the Beltline from Seminole Highway is open.
* Both directions of the frontage road near Seminole Highway are open.
* Bicyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to use the new multi-use
path along the south side of the roadway.
