If we find downtown bike parking space is at such a premium it is worth
investing in a cool system like this, let's instead use that money to
create a job(s) and hire someone to run a bike valet and physically move
the bikes down a non-carbon using ramp and park our bikes underground. It
will also create a valuable job opportunity involving movement, exercise,
social interaction and build on social capital, as bike users have a human
to interact with rather than a machine.
