*Be bright tonight!* One more request for volunteers for tonight's Be Bright event. We will be gathering at 7:15 and start assisting the UWPD with the event - installing lights and rear flashers when bicyclists are stopped for not having them - at 7:30 PM.
If you want to help, email, text, or call me: 608-225-0002 - and I'll give you the location, which is in the south campus. The weather is gong to be beautiful, and this is actually fun. We'll probably be done by 8:30 PM. It's tough reaching the UW population, especially students, with bike safety information. We get a new crop of students every year, faculty and staff change, and there's no way to reach everyone. One way the UWPD is trying to get the word out is via the BADGErBeat, their monthly print and e-newsletter. I think all faculty and staff receive it, and maybe all students.
