It is my understanding that the same company makes both Chariot and Croozer trailers. The "Chariot" trailers are more up-market, and supposedly are made in Canada. You can buy Chariot trailers at REI. The "Croozers" are the same designs, but are made in China, with perhaps slightly cheaper materials. When I was last looking for trailers (4 years ago), you could only buy Croozer trailers online, not at brick-and-mortar stores.
We purchased a Chariot sidecarrier from REI. It was lightweight, well-built, and attracted lots of attention. Around the same time that we bought it we visited friends of ours in Canada who also had a trailer built by Chariot (it is a Canadian company, so they are more popular there). Also very well-built, lightweight, and very practical, and converted to a ski-trailer, which was a big plus for our Canadian friends. About a year after we got our Chariot, a friend of mine, whose husband works in the bike industry, showed up to a bike race with her 2-kid Croozer. I saw it and got bike-trailer-envy. The huge back pocket for all the farmer's market purchases...the sturdy, practical design, and the same apparent workmanship and durability that the our Chariot sidecarrier had. At the time, she told me (and I can't verify this) that the Croozer was made by the Chariot company for sale mostly in European markets.
