Regarding the bike racks... Saris builds racks to order in house then sends them out to another local company for powder coating or galvanizing. It then comes back and gets packed up/shipped. It's preferable that even if the customer is local, it gets shipped by a legitimate delivery company. The way the shipping and loading docks are designed, it's not optimal for customers to do their own pick up. That's not to say it can't be done, it's just not the best route to go.
If your friend has multiple properties she should see if she can get a quantity discount and look into some low interest small business loans via the SBA or even something through the city. Crowdfunding is always an option or partnering with a local business near the properties and discussing how bike parking can increase business is always a good route.
